Exchange about challenges and development of new solutions at the neanderland network meeting

NEANDERLAND/METTMANN DISTRICT. Current crisis situations are constantly presenting the entire tourism industry with new challenges. The acquisition and retention of guests is therefore more important than ever. In order to consciously exchange information about current difficulties and to find new solutions together to optimize guest loyalty, around 50 guests from the hotel, catering and tourism companies met at the country hotel Krummenweg in Ratingen as part of the neanderland network meeting.
"Guest acquisition and guest loyalty - not only in times of crisis" was the title of the network meeting, which was organized by neanderland Tourismus together with the IHK Düsseldorf and DEHOGA Nordrhein eV. “We would like to support our tourism companies in neanderland to reach their potential target group in the best possible way and to retain them in the long term through efficient strategies. Addressing and communicating with guests correctly is not only important in times of crisis,” emphasized Julia Pölcher, Destination Marketing Coordinator at neanderland Tourismus.
Consultant and process facilitator Kristine Honig recorded current challenges in the tourism industry with the participants, such as the lack of personnel and skilled workers, dealing with seasonal influences and obstacles in the tourism infrastructure. In the second part of the workshop, the tourism businesses present developed possible solutions and emphasized the importance of transparent communication with their guests and with the entire industry. "Creating clarity and setting priorities - for yourself and others - help to overcome crises," Kristine Honig summed up the results.
Afterwards, the participants of the neanderland network meeting were able to deepen the knowledge they had gained in a relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was very pleased that this format could finally take place again after almost three years of the corona pandemic and are looking forward to the next meeting.
