NEANDERLAND/METTMANN DISTRICT. Hiking adventure or forest break, Stone Age or surfing trip, quickly to the Rhine or just out - the new image film "neanderland - Now n-tdeck" convinced with words and pictures at the International Tourism Exchange Berlin (ITB). and won The Golden City Gate award in the Region category. District Director and Head of Cultural Affairs Philipp Gilbert and Paula Lange from neanderland Tourismus proudly accepted the award at the Berlin trade fair.

Every year, a jury from Huschert Film + Medien GmbH awards The Golden City Gate at the ITB. Creativity, language, music, editing, emotions and design are included in the evaluation. "We are very pleased that our leisure region convinced the jury in this international competition," explains Paula Lange. The new image film was recently released as part of the 10th anniversary of the tourism region neanderland. “A special compliment goes to the agency Benning, Gluth and Partner from Oberhausen, which produced the video. We would also like to thank our tourism companies in the district, who have actively supported us," says Lange.

The image film shot over the past six months takes viewers from the cult figure Mr. N to the queen bee, from neanderland STEIG to the banks of the Rhine and from action experiences to respite in the forest.

So-called "match cuts" are used as a stylistic device. The match cut is a film montage technique in which visual elements, shapes or movements are cut in and these are picked up or continued in the next scene. In the image film, these are, for example, the rotation of a honey jar, which becomes a moving water wheel, the color of the pumpkins, which is reflected in the lemonade bottle in the next scene. The branding of the region, the neanderland logo, also appears again and again. In this way, a coherent connection of the content is created and curiosity for more is aroused.

Together with creative play on words and eventful motifs, the film makes potential guests as well as locals want to discover leisure activities and highlights in neanderland. The project was financed as part of the EU funded project REACT.
