A varied, moderately difficult round trip in the middle of neanderland. Protected by the Düssel, three moated castles were built in the Middle Ages. In the west "Haus Morp", in the east at the gates of the Neandertal "Haus Brück" and in the center of the early settlement near the first church the "Haus Bavier". Between this moated castle, which has since disappeared, and the first Romanesque church, the oldest settlement core of the city of Erkrath was formed. The development of the settlement is particularly evident in the historic streets - Bahnstrasse, Kirchstrasse and Kreuzstrasse - and the public buildings such as churches, the town hall and the market hall. From Haus Brück you can quickly reach the natural landscape. The path takes you through true hiking gems such as the idyllic Stindertal, along the Rotthäuser Bachtal and along the Düsseltal to Haus Morp.
