The varied route around Heiligenhaus leads past the forest and water museum and through the picturesque nature reserves of Rinderbachtal and Vogelsangbachtal back to the starting point.
Even the first few meters are really impressive: The varied route for young and old leads through a landscape that is not called "In Paradise" for nothing. Enjoy the paradisiacal surroundings and let nature work its magic on you. After a short distance we reach the former waterworks, which today houses the Forest and Water Museum. The Mühlenberg with its wonderful view is slightly uphill, easy to do for experienced walkers and hiking professionals. The further path runs through the picturesque nature reserves of Rinderbachtal and Vogelsangbachtal to just before the Essen city limits. Here you can enjoy impressive views of the Ruhr area. Between fields and meadows, past old estates and farms, it's a relaxed return to the starting point.
