Demanding but short stage including a strong final climb with a mountain finish. In the near-natural Windrath valley, you pass meadows and fields. Some of the farms run cozy courtyard cafés that invite you to stop by.
Velbert-Neviges to Velbert-Nordrath
It starts at Neviges S-Bahn station. This stage, which is quite short at 7,2 kilometers, is extremely varied, a farm to farm stage so to speak: farms, horse farms, organic farms and a trout farm are our companions. First of all only uphill, on beautiful dirt roads and narrow meadow paths. A highlight halfway is the Windrath Chapel, dedicated to Saint Suitbertus, who evangelized neanderland over 1.300 years ago. However, the hikers' mission is to reach their destination after the Windrath Chapel and the organic farms in the Windrath Valley up to Nordrath.
