Litterae Silesiae: Andreas Kossert presents “Escape – A Human History”.

PDF

customs/culture
Like no other, Kossert understands how to place the refugee movements of the early 21st century in a larger historical context. Always close to individual fates and in a moving way, Kossert shows what existential experiences of uprooting and hostility accompany the loss of one's homeland - and why it is always so difficult for refugees and displaced people to put down new roots in a foreign country. Escape - A Human History was awarded the 2021 Political Book Prize from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Moderation: Dr. David Skrabania Venue: Haus Oberschlesien, Bahnhofstr. 71, 40883 Ratingen Admission is free. The event is public, registration is not required. A cooperation with Haus Schlesien, Königswinter and the VHS Ratingen
