Network meeting in neanderland

Exchange in the region about the region

The tourism department of the district of Mettmann organizes regular network meetings together with the partners IHK Düsseldorf and DEHOGA Nordrhein eV. These provide information on various tourism topics and offer a platform for exchange and expansion of the network. All those responsible for tourism and those involved in tourism, such as accommodation and gastronomy establishments, leisure and cultural facilities and tour operators from neanderland are invited.

The last network meeting on the topic “Artificial intelligence (AI) in tourism – opportunities for neanderland” took place on April 10, 2024 at the Gartenhotel Fettehenne in Erkrath. Here you will find the press release

Experience.NRW

New call for funding starts!

The goal of the project call "Experience.NRW" is to strengthen tourism and thus the economic sector in NRW. The industry should become more attractive again through innovative and authentic adventure offers and the expansion of infrastructure in harmony with culture and nature. The promotion of sustainable tourism, culture and nature tourism in the tourism regions in NRW is therefore the focus.

The new funding period is based on the integrative approach of the region-specific Territorial strategy concepts, which were developed in the tourist regions of North Rhine-Westphalia, including by Düsseldorf Tourismus GmbH and the district of Mettmann/neanderland.

Infrastructure should be qualitatively and sustainably upgraded, further developed or newly created. Tourism should position itself more sustainably in digital solutions and innovations and new potential should be promoted.

The appeal is aimed at:

  • Municipalities, municipal companies and institutions
  • small and medium businesses
  • Clubs, associations and foundations
  • chambers

Application:

The funding call for "Experience.NRW" provides for a two-stage application process. Project outlines are submitted via the website www.erlebnis.in.nrw.

Submission deadlines:

1st round of submissions: 31.01.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX

2st round of submissions: 31.01.2024/XNUMX/XNUMX

3st round of submissions: 31.01.2025/XNUMX/XNUMX

 ERDF projects

Successful promotion of regional projects

ERDF, the European fund for regional development, together with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, has already funded the projects "Bergische Panorama-Radwege - Pleasure cycling on former railway lines between the Ruhr, Rhine and Sieg" and "TYPISCH neanderland", the region's seal of quality. Both projects are a complete success, are used as brands and continuously developed. Current ERDF projects include REACT, to promote digitization in tourism, and the Territorial Strategy Concept (TSK), which supports the sustainable development of tourism, culture and natural heritage.
