The neanderland CLIMB Discovery loop "Organic Farms in the Windrath Valley"  is an ideal destination for exploring the city of Velbert on foot. A delicious refreshment with regional and seasonal products is then available in the farm cafés or farm shops on the outskirts. Stages 2-6 of the neanderland STEIG also lead past Velbert and invite hikers of all levels to explore and experience nature. Those who prefer to sit in the saddle can ride the 40 km of the Niederbergbahn Panorama Cycle Path. Numerous restaurants and hotels in Velbert offer the opportunity to stop off and stay overnight, for example this Restaurant Little Switzerlandwhich  Stuettgen's Hotel or Best Western Park Hotel.
