The path leads along the village road through the old part of the village of Homberg. After a few steps we reach the Protestant Christ Church from 1912, then the Catholic Church of St. Jacobus the Elder from the 12th century. We pass half-timbered houses to the Homberger Bach and walk along it on the Wittenhausweg. We pass the A3 through the Hommerichweg underpass. Along the Homberger Bach it goes through the forest to the Hahnerbach. This flows into the Kapps pond in front of Gut Kapp. From there it goes back to the Hommerichweg downhill into the Anger valley, past the Auermühle excursion restaurant and on to the paper factory. We hike over the Anger up to the Hölenderweg. We reach Cromforder Allee via the Brücker Mühle and Teichstraße paths. This leads to Cromford Park. We then pass the LVR industrial museum Textilfabrik Cromford, the Poensgenpark and the moated castle “Haus zum Haus”. From here it is only a short distance to our destination, the Stadtwerke Sportpark Ratingen.
