Guided hike in the heart of neanderland: The very special history of the Neandertal is combined with the extraordinary beauty of the valley. The neighboring Ittertal between Solingen and Haan is only half as well known, but is in no way inferior to the Neandertal in terms of natural beauty. The 2-Täler-Tour connects these two special valleys in the Niederbergisches Land to an exciting and varied hike.
The guiding principle of the hike is the neanderland STEIG. First of all, you hike up Dusseldorf from the Neanderthal train station past the idyllically situated Winkelsmühle through the beautiful nature of the valley. At Ehlenbeck you will then come across the neanderland STEIG, which you follow from now on until almost the end of the tour. Passing Gruiten it goes over the heights to the corkscrew route near Fürkeltrath - the view here wanders far into the distance...
Then dive into the Ittertal with its dreamy paths and secluded forest paths. Past the Ittertal leisure center you will soon reach the Heidberger Mühle, where a typical mountain retreat awaits you. In the last section, the tour then comes up with some highlights again: The Schaafenkotten and the Caspersbroich Castle form a successful conclusion in a dreamlike nature. From here it is not far to the destination at Haan train station.
