Old town of Monheim am Rhein

Of all the districts in Monheim, the old town has the longest history. The core is the former freedom of Monheim. The city of Monheim am Rhein has placed many buildings and other objects in the old town under monument protection. These include the Schelmenturm, the former town hall and various half-timbered houses. The old town is roughly divided into Turmstraße, Zollstraße, Grabenstraße and Freiheit. A visit to the old town is not only worthwhile for those interested in history.
