Varied stage, which is easy to hike despite its length, as there are no noticeable inclines. Through the forests in the north of the neanderland it goes along beautiful streams and lakes. The motorway and airport encounters are also interesting.
Mülheim-Selbeck to Ratingen
Shortly after the start of the stage we can catch a glimpse of the well-kept Selbeck golf course. Then it goes into the forest and shortly afterwards we cross the A3.
We walk about ten kilometers in a wide arc around the Lintorf district of Ratingen. We also get a little taste of Duisburg. Towards the end of the path, the passage directly along the runway of Düsseldorf Airport is spectacular.
The tour ends in the Volkardey recreation park between Silbersee and Grüner See. The change from extensive forest routes as well as the points of contact with the traffic flows around the neanderland are the characteristics of this stage.Good to know

Please stay on the paths. The narrow paths can be slippery in places, especially in wet weather. Be careful with embankments or cliff edges, keep your distance.
Facilities
Good hiking shoes should already be. Depending on the season and the weather, a jacket is a must along the many cool streams and in the deep forests, as well as on the often windy heights.
