Interesting, varied and easy stage through the heath, the city forest, along romantic forest lakes and babbling brooks.
Solingen to Haan-Hülsberg
In the first part of this section of the neanderland STEIG, it first goes through the heath, the Ohligser Heide. Past the forest pool, which should actually be called Heidebad, past exciting landscape formations. Then we reach Hilden and pass the forest barracks, where the training music corps of the German Armed Forces might blow the hiking (march) for us.
In the second part of the stage, the neanderland STEIG then leads back and forth through the Hilden city forest. It goes along the Hoxbach and finally along a dog meadow on the other side of the main road, past the Jabergturm in the Hildener Heide. Then another alpine adventure awaits as we climb the Sandberg for one last glimpse of Hilden. Because we finally get to Haan, where this stage ends.
