35,65 km long
long-distance cycle path
40 km from Essen-Kettig to Haan
Unusual perspectives open up for cyclists on the PanoramaRadweg Niederbergbahn. The 40-kilometre path was laid out on a disused historic railway line. Almost two dozen bridges - including Germany's unique wagon bridge - tell of the railway history of the last 100 years in the Bergisches Land. At the same time, there are fascinating panoramic views of the Niederberg hilly landscape. The cycle path is linked to other routes beyond the region and fits into the network of Bergisches Panorama cycle paths under the motto "simply cycle in the mountains".
